MIL Card

This is a card I made for my neighbor who wanted a card for her mother-in-law's birthday. She gave me free reign, except that she wanted turquoise and green.

Stamps: Autumn Leaves
Paper: K&Company
Tools: Stampin' Up! ticket corner punch
Embellishments: rhinestone brad by Making Memories

Cute! You make me want to make cards! I'm afraid to try those Copic markers because I might get addicted and buy too many and then what if I stop scrapbooking? lol Am I silly or what?

And so here is a stupid question. I haven't found the answer searching the internet because it's that stupid of a question. HOW do you make your stamp turn out?! I end up with a tiny glob somewhere or a place that isn't as dark as the rest... I try to ink evenly, really I do! Do I just need to practice or do I need a brain transplant?

I don't know what even made me start the card making because scrapbooking really is my passion, but I have loved doing both! I'm not someone to mix the two (I don't like stamping on scrapbook pages!), but I do still feel like I love scrapbooking as much as I already did! :-)

As for your stamping question... Do you mean how do you make a stamped image come out clear and bold and not with part of it dark and part like (like the word "Congratulations" did on this card)? I don't know... If I'm using an acrylic stamp, I tend to have a harder time making it even, too. One thing that I tend to do is after I ink my stamp I lightly place it on my paper and then press a finger in the middle of the image while gently rocking the block with my other hand. Does that make sense? I don't know if that might help or not?

I've seen your crafting, no brain transplant needed for you! :-)

lol, I didn't notice the celebrate was like that! Yeah, that's how mine usually turn out. Or I get little tiny blobs of ink and don't realize they are there and I smear them when I think all is dry. Maybe I am just too picky! I will try what you suggested and see if I do better. =)
